rm ~/.sversionrc ; rm -r ~/OpenOffice.org1.0

Well, specifically it is the contents of the .sversionrc that points to your
installation of 1.0 in OpenOffice.org1.0 that was not done using our
wrapper.

It is defined in /usr/lib/menu/openoffice.org:

  icon="/usr/share/apps/openoffice.org/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/ooo_calc.xpm"

I have seen this working on several machines so I'm not sure what has gone
wrong for you.
