It has already been fixed in OOO_STABLE_1, and since that will eventually become version 1.0 it makes sense for us to join in the effort there and provide feedback on the build process. We have already come across several problems, some of which have been fixed in CVS for us. The current problems are: - With GCC 2.95, it is possible to build the complete office (i.e. the debian/rules build target completes), but setup does not work, complaining that libvos2GCC.so is not found. See issue #3652 for details. - The configure process does not work properly for GCC 3.0. BTW, what is DEBIAN_BUILDGCCVER that you mentioned? I can't find anything about it, and it doesn't make any difference for me. Most discussion is happening on IRC in the #debian-oo and #Openffice.org channels at the moment, but if you (or anyone else) can't use IRC and wants the current state of our efforts or to be more involved please shout up.
