Bug#1101568: Requires dune in reverse-dependencies
Source: ocaml-gettext
Version: 0.5.0-1
Severity: important
Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer,
Version 0.5.0 caused the following build failures:
https://bugs.debian.org/1099236
https://bugs.debian.org/1099294
https://bugs.debian.org/1099296
Leading to the following thread:
https://lists.debian.org/debian-ocaml-maint/2025/03/msg00112.html
As said above, my understanding of the situation is: the use of
dune-site requires the use of dune in reverse dependencies. I may be
wrong, but nobody contradicted me so far. I opened the following issue
in dune upstream to keep track of this:
https://github.com/ocaml/dune/issues/11565
I've also contacted ocaml-gettext upstream and he doesn't have an
immediate solution to the problem.
I am planning to revert to 0.4.2; this bug is there to document the
situation.
Cheers,

Stéphane
