Package: ocaml-compiler-libs
Version: 3.12.0-7
Severity: minor
*** Please type your report below this line ***
ocaml-compiler-libs installs outcometree.{cmi,mli} at
/usr/lib/ocaml/compiler-libs/typing while ocaml-nox (which is a dependency for
ocaml-compiler-libs) installs the same files at /usr/lib/ocaml. The result is
a warning message when compiling any ocaml module that adds the
compiler-libs/typing path to the compiler search path.
For example (when using ocamlfind):
findlib: [WARNING] Interface outcometree.cmi occurs in several directories:
/usr/lib/ocaml, /usr/lib/ocaml/compiler-libs/typing
Since the duplicate files are bit-for-bit identical (at least on x86_64),
removing them from the ocaml-compiler-libs package should prevent the warning
message from appearing without having any other side-effects.

Version: 4.08.1-1 As of 4.08.1, compiler-libs are installed by upstream. topdirs.* are installed twice, but this seems to be intended by upstream. Hence, closing. -- Stéphane
