I'm disappointed that you should try to dismiss this as not a bug. It
is a bug, and a Severity: serious one, whenever the current version *in
Debian* fails to build against what's currently in Debian; a perfectly
reasonable resolution to this bug is to update the package in Debian,
whatever that involves. Until that is done, this bug should remain
open.
