At this time, I was in the process to give maintainership to Mehdi, so
he probably closed this bug.

This is probably not the vast majority of users. But there is a little
truth in what he said. Sharing patches is very important and we should
try to automate this as much as possible.

The field I propose can be a way to automatically send it to upstream
authors. This is just an idea, don't know if it is worth.
