An interesting package that you may be interested in

Hi there, Ocaml people.

Unfortunately, I don't read/write ocaml, but that's not to say that I don't
enjoy some programs written in it.

In fact, if I were more proficient in the language, I would be the maintainer of
a package for which I filed a RFP bug, but as I don't think that it would be
responsible to maintain a package that I could keep in shape, I feel that it
would be better if somebody else maintained it.

The package in question is mp3packer, which is an MP3 file lossless
recompressor, which is written in ocaml. It is described in the RFP bug:

   http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=581031

Basically, it works by selecting frames of the smallest size that can contain
the MP3 data of an already encoded MP3 file. It is a great program to save some
bytes (say, for network transfers) with files that are already encoded and that
you don't want to transcode.

I attached to the bug a very basic, simple draft of the package that I made for
myself and that could, perhaps, serve as a basic starting point (saving you from
hunting the licence information, long description etc).

If is there anybody interested in this, I would appreciate to be informed. :-)

Thanks,
