Agreed, I've changed it to a Recommends: ledit | rlwrap | cle.

(BTW, that alternatives are most likely to be incomplete and they are
unfortunate, but there is no virtual package Provides-ing line-editor
or something like that.)

Agreed as well, it is now a Suggests.

ACK, it is not Recommends.

No need to apologies, I've implemented most of your suggestions.

The current (i.e. subversion ... and not even committed yet :-)) state
of Depends/Recommends/Suggests is as follows:

Depends:
 ocaml,
 ocaml-interp,
 camlp4,
 ocaml-findlib
Recommends:
 ocaml-best-compilers,
 otags,
 camlp4-extra,
 ocaml-tools,
 tuareg-mode,
 libounit-ocaml-dev,
 ledit | rlwrap | cle
Suggests:
 ocaml-doc,
 cameleon,
 ocamlweb,
 camlidl,
 cmigrep,
 ocamldsort,
 ocamlmakefile

Shout if you have some other comments.
Cheers.
