It is hard to say for sure as I don't know the version you experienced
the problem with, but since some versions libcore-ocaml-dev properly
declare dependency on libbin-prot-camlp4-dev, hence the ocamlfind error
mentioned in the subject can no longer appear.

Closing the bug, reopen if needed providing more info.
