Have you read the email I sent to -release and this ML asking for permission to go ahead with the 3.10.2 transition? Unfortunately, the release managers replied us to wait, since several other "big" transitions are either going on or even accumulating as backlogs. So, if with "latest ocaml" you mean 3.10.2, I'm afraid the answer is no. Besides that, I don't see the correlation between what happens in unstable and backports (though I do see the benefit of having ocaml packages in backports and I wanna take the chance to thank you for working on that). IIRC the required policy for backports is that the backported packages are took from testing, not from unstable, so you should really backport packages from testing. By the way: feel free to ask here for help if you need it. Also, details on what is currently broken would help and maybe likely to gather some more hands to work on backports.
