Package: mldonkey-server
Version: 2.8.7

mldonkey-server requires gzip sometimes when downloading metainformation.
gzip isn't a dependency of mldonkey-server - so - if it's not installed - mldonkey quits while processing gzip-files.
Here's a part of a logfile:

2007/07/11 15:03:37 [cWeb] request guarding.p2p (http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/level1.gz) 2007/07/11 15:03:37 [cWeb] request server.met (http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz) 2007/07/11 15:03:37 [cWeb] request contact.dat (http://download.overnet.org/contact.dat) 2007/07/11 15:03:37 [cWeb] request geoip.dat (http://www.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoIP.dat.gz) 2007/07/11 15:03:37 [cWeb] Failure("Unknown kind [nodes.gzip]") while loading http://update.kceasy.com/update/fasttrack/nodes.gzip
2007/07/11 15:03:37 [dMain] Received SIGINT, stopping MLDonkey...
2007/07/11 15:03:37 [cCO] Options correctly saved
2007/07/11 15:03:37 [cCO] Sources correctly saved
2007/07/11 15:03:37 [cCO] Options backup as .tar.gz correctly saved
2007/07/11 15:03:37 [dMain] Core stopped

I think gzip should be added as dependency of mldonkey-server. It wasn't part of my default-installation.

The system is debian-etch.
