The OCaml standard library function int_of_float is slow on x86. See:

    http://sardes.inrialpes.fr/~aschmitt/cwn/2005.02.22.html#8

I have developed a patch that adds a round_to_int function:

I'd love to see this in the standard Debian O'Caml packages.

Hi,
this bug has been marked as wontfix since more than 2 years and
upstream rejected the proposed feature request. In addition to that, we
maintainers do not want to apply the patch only in Debian, as it will
break binary compatibility.

Give all the reasonings above I see no point in keeping this bug open in
the Debian BTS, hence I'm closing it with this mail.

Cheers.
