I didn't look at the patch, but my feeling is the same: no need of rpath for ocaml .so. They are indeed outside the standard ld.so directories, but it doesn't matter since they are in a predefined path, known by the ocaml interpreter. When it get generated is usually a fault of autotools which add it.
