Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal wlex is a lexer generator for ocaml. It is no longer supported upstream (as reported on author's home page http://www.eleves.ens.fr/home/frisch/soft.html#patches/), since the author has developed a more advanced lexer generator called ulex, already packaged in debian. ulex has all the features of wlex and thus there is no need to keep both of them in debian/. Moreover wlex no longer builds properly with the latest version of ocaml (3.08.3). No package depends on the binary packages generated by wlex. Still, the current version of pxp in unstable build-depends on it. Next version of pxp I will upload in a few days wont build-depends anymore on wlex. I think removal of wlex at the same time from both testing and unstable will be needed to let the whole bunch of ocaml related packages rebuilt with ocaml 3.08.3 enter testing smoothly.
