Ahh, great, thanks.  I guess I'll just point out that the homepage
(http://www.lri.fr/~filliatr/bibtex2html/index.en.html) says that you
can "Read simple macros in TeX or LaTeX files;" near the top.  That is
possibly misleading, although not really the reason for my confusion!
