I have not use advi recently, but cheking advi 1.6.0-2 (1.6.0-3 does
not reach my mirror for Sarge), my impression is that 1.6.0 fixed the
"page movement after scaling" bug.

So, my patch seems unnecessary.

I, too, find that autoscale, (in addition to autoresize) does not
work, in the case of with -geometry, and without -geometry.  (tested
on the same version above)

Could someone confirm them?
