Re: Ara and FTP-masters

I grabbed the sources from alioth and built the packages.

I have 2 questions: the .depend files should be removed on "make clean"?

The package's version is 1.0.5a, but for a not-native package, the upload should be versioned 1.0.5a-1.

I can do the upload and with that upload I'd hand over the Maintainer field to George.

Hello all,

1.Could someone sponsor or motivate or whatever one of those
beings called FTP masters so that we can have ara >= 1.0.5a
in the upcoming Debian release, i.e. Sarge ?

Just let it happen, don't brusque the ftp-masters, or you get into world of
troubles, and it will not advance in any way.

2.Will Sarge be released before Iran is bombed to hell (February),
or after ?

i would say it is 50/50 chances. We are in better possition than during the
two latest release tentatives (december 2003, august/sept 2004). read the
latest announcement about this on debian-devel-announce. Gnome 2.8 is entering
sarge, and there may be chances for KDE 3.3 even, so i have no doubt it will
work out for ara too.
