I guess you mean ocaml-nox instead of ocaml-nox-3.08

No, ocaml-nox-3.08 is correct since camlidl package contains also ocaml
libraries (for example /usr/lib/ocaml/3.08/com.cma) which have been
built with ocaml 3.08 and are thus not binary compatible with other
versions of ocaml.
