I do intend to offer the ocaml-bdb-ym source package that you found in my
local repository for inspection and hopefully upload by one of the DDs on the
debian-ocaml-maint team. Apologies for not finishing it sooner; I promised
it several weeks ago but my new day job has been commanding almost all of my
keyboard time.
I think that ocaml-bdb-ym is close to ready from a packaging perspective,
although it will probably have issues on hppa and ia64 similar to those in
cryptokit (q.v.). (I have resolved these issues in my local copy of
cryptokit but encountered a regression in the binding to ocaml-nums that I
have not had time to debug.) I had hoped to do some more serious QA on bdb
before troubling others with it, but you are certainly welcome to grab the
source package, look it over, and test it in its current condition.
One reason I didn't finish it at the time was that the upstream tarball is
excerpted from SKS 1.0.5, and the SKS upstream site on savannah was not
available for me to double-check my upstream due to the savannah compromise.
If you do look at it, please cross-check against the SKS release.
I will be getting back to this group of packages soon in the context of the
day job, so hopefully it won't be long before I ask the debian-ocaml-maint
team to look over a new round of upload candidates. Do let me know if you
try out ocaml-bdb-ym and, if you hit problems, I'll try to fix them promptly.
Cheers,
- - Michael
