It's now my opinion that the library version should not be part of the
package name nor listed in any metapackage name or similar.

Dependencies between libraries are better handled through normal >>, >=,
... constraints in debian/control file. Is more painful for the
maintainer but really more flexible and easy to remember in the long
run. My md5sum tools could help in kowing where a library is going to
break other libraries.

So, libfoo-ocaml-<ocaml_version>[-dev] should be enough.
