ocamltk 4.18-1 and last older ocam ldependency
Hello, ...
I just uploaded a new version of ocamltk 4.18 (or 418 as it is upstream) to
the debian archive.
here is the changes file ...
Source: ocamltk
Version: 4.18-1
Description:
ocamltk - a library for interfacing Objective Caml with the tcl/tk
Changes:
ocamltk (4.18-1) unstable; urgency=low
.
* New upstream release.
* Rebuilt with ocaml 3.04.
Well, the first thing to notice about this one, is that it doesn't come with
the previous libcamltk-ocaml, libcamltk-ocaml-dev split.
I have the proper debian rules and other stuff for this split to take effect,
but i reverted the changes, since i noticed that upstream does not (yet)
provide support for shared libraries in the build process. I quickly tried to
build it myself, but soon let it be, in hope that upstream provides such a fix
itself.
Anyway, i decided to upload the package as is, insteed of the splitted
version, with the empty libcamltk-ocaml package.
(That said, i managed to enqable dynamic libraries for mlgtk, but the
makefiles there are simpler, and sicne i am one of the upstream folk anyway,
... So it is not a too complicated thing to do, if one masters the build
system.)
So, with the upload of this package, the last thing blocking ocaml from
entering testing is gone, and i hope that 10 days from now, ocaml will be in
testing, provided the autobuilders do their jobs quickly.
Friendly,
Sven Luther
