I always thought that libXXX scheme is rather inadequate
ocaml-libXXX is much more interesting since :
the main part/criteria of interest is first : ocaml
then comes the "usage" (the 'base', the 'tools', the 'libs'... and so
on)
I have a lot of packages for backport compiling on my disk, due to the
libXXX scheme, nothing is sorted in a simple dired (emacs) view
because this scheme does not follow the simplest sort algorithm
implemented in every tools namely the well-know alphabetical order...
You have a great bunch of libXXX, where you cannot find easily what
you waant because perl's stuff, python's stuff, gtk, kde, gnome are
"mixed" in the same space ...
It would be nice to have a easy way to say "ok, everything about
ocaml is here, in this screen.
Since grep tricks will work if we follow any structured naming scheme,
(lib/XXX/ocaml, ocaml/lib/XXX ...) let's keep a simple intrinsic
order in our scheme...
Yes, think different. (the real OCaml attitude ? ;-)
Cheers
