I just thinked about another, elegant, idea.

Findlib also supports META files that resides in a single directory
(that can be defined in /etc/ocamlfind.conf) that are named in this
format: "META.<pkgname>".  So we can define a "registry" directory (like
/usr/lib/ocaml/META/ or /usr/lib/ocaml-findlib/) and put there all META
files.

With this solution we can still have different findlib package for
native/bytecode split (no version problem) or have a single findlib
package.
