I never said this is a conffile, but a configuration file ;)

          intended to be modified by the system administrator (if needed or
          desired) to conform to local policy or to provide more useful
          site-specific behavior.

I believe that /usr/lib/ocaml/ld.conf fully follows this definition,
but I may be wrong due to my poor knowledge of OCaml.

You may also read §11.7.3 and §11.7.4, my understanding of these sections
is that ocaml-base could provide an executable to add/delete directories
in this file, this executable being called by maintainer scripts.
