I've worked with Robie across both Debian and Ubuntu; specifically I'd
call out his work on the mysql packages - he's worked well with all
members of the pkg-mysql team to come up with a coherent technical
approach to having multiple mysql variants in Debian.
This included organizing and running a sprint for all team members
last year to work through the technical challenges (see [0] - yes that
is me on the left).
He has an excellent understanding of packaging practices, and I
believe he has the skills required to directly maintain the area's
he's involved with in Debian - specifically bcache-tools and the mysql
variants.
I fully endorse his DM application and look forward to his direct
maintenance the mysql packages in Debian!
