I believe that Dariusz has the technical and social skills needed to maintain Debian packages. I support his application [1] to become a Debian
maintainer, because I have -

 * worked with him on viewnior and maradns
 * had conversations with him about the value of Debian and open source software
 * have got a glimpse of his capability and motivation to contribute back to Debian.

Dariusz is a highly skilled and capable computer scientist, who wishes to lend his talent to Debian. He also is a kind and friendly person.
Therefore he is just the kind of people the project needs. He is/has also been key to organizing local Debian events like the bug squashing
party I am on right now, and a highly successful talk by Tomasz Buchert [2].
