Hi all,
To celebrate the release of Fluidsynth-1.0.8 and the FluidR3 soundfont
package, I think it would be a good step to sort out the identification
of SF2 and SFARK mimetypes. Currently SF2 files are identified as
video/x-msvideo, which just doesn't seem right.
The old but still very useable command-line program "file" does identify
soundfonts correctly AFAICS:
file FluidR3_GM.sf2
FluidR3_GM.sf2: RIFF (little-endian) data SoundFont/Bank
Maybe something can be learned by looking at what "file" checks for when
it decides that this is a SoundFont/Bank type of file?
