Bug#426144: jackd: fails to run on Pentium II - illegal instruction
Package: jackd
Version: 0.103.0-5
Severity: grave
Someone claimed:
#422076 [FIXED jack-audio-connection-kit 0.103.0-3]:
Can not start jackd
BUT THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED, EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED INFORMATION TO
PROVE THAT IT WASN'T FIXED.
I STILL GET "ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION" ERROR ON PENTIUM II HARDWARE.
I can build from source for Pentium II but should not have to. The x86
binary should work for 486 and above sub-architectures.
Please fix the build system so that the binary works for 486 and above
sub-archtitecures, or provide separate binaries so that all of 486 and
above sub-architectures have WORKING binaries.
