xine / totem and NVidia TV Out

Hiho,

I try to get my TV Out of my Toshiba Satellite S3000-214 working. It has
a GeForce2Go Chipset, which I know it's supported, because long time ago
I had a working setup using the closed source NVidia drivers with some
special XFree86 confiugration (I can't remember anymore...;). Now I just
tried the simple approach by installing totem and nvtv from Debian sid
(i386) hoping that this "just works". Unfortunately it doesn't ;)

In totem the corresponding TV Out options are simply greyed out, and I
didn't find any documentation / man-pages with hints how to solve this
problem. I also tried Google, but couldn't find any useful hints - it
looks this stuff is sparsely documented yet...

Is there any HOWTO available which describes how to get my TV Out work?
I'd prefer a xine based solution, also I'd like to keep using XFree86's
'nv' driver. Best thing would be having a full 1024x768 desktop on the
LCD and an independent xine controlled PAL video output on TV Out. Is
that possible?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Joern
