The official JDK was available for MIPS under IRIX, but I haven't seen
it for Linux/MIPS.  This unfortuantely though is big endian MIPS, not
little endian.  I was in the same dilemma trying to install Tomcat on a
Gateway Micro Server (aka Cobalt Qube 2).
