Indigo2 installation freezes on kernel boot

Hi all,

I've just suscribed to this list after reading 2 years of archives, and
still I haven't managed to solve my problem. So here it is, as detailed
as it can be.
I recently got a SGI Indigo2 R4400@250Mhz, 384 Mo RAM, XL video card,
4Gb SCSI HD, no CD-Rom or floppy. I try to install a Debian Woody on it.
So I've set up dhcp and tftp servers on the computer to which the SGI is
connected to via ethernet.

Then I got the tftpboot.img from
http://honk.physik.uni-konstanz.de/linux-mips/install/r4k-ip22/tftpboot.img
(because I've read framebuffer with my video card is not supported with
the kernel on Debian FTPs), and put it in / on my server. I've also done
this because I run a 2.4.19 kernel :

echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_no_pmtu_disc
echo 25000 32767 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_local_port_range

I went into "Maintenance Menu > Boot command" on my Indigo 2 and here is
what I got :

>> printenv
AutoLoad=Yes
TimeZone=PST8PDT
console=g
diskless=0
keybd=US
dbaud=2400
volume=80
sgilogo=y
autopower=y
monitor=h
netaddr=192.168.0.2
eaddr=08:00:69:08:1d:ae
ConsoleOut=video()
ConsoleIn=keyboard()
cpufreq=250
SystemPartition=scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(8)
OSLoadPartition=scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(0)
OSLoadFilename=/unix
OSLoader=sash
gfx=alive

>> boot bootp():/tftpboot.img

And my system freezes. I cannot do anything but reboot using the reset
button.
Any help greatly appreciated (as it's driving me mad). Thanks.
