Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: important

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "memtest86+":

 * Package name    : memtest86+
   Version         : 5.01-3.2
   Upstream Author : Samuel Demeulemeester <memtest@memtest.org>
 * URL             : http://www.memtest.org/
 * License         : GPL-2
 * Vcs             : https://salsa.debian.org/debian/memtest86plus
   Section         : misc

After saw memtest86+ orphan and with mark for autoremoval from testing I prepared an MR that fix the RC bug and few small changes including some the maintainer already prepared on git long time ago.

you can see it here: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/memtest86plus/-/merge_requests/1 and as requested I uploaded to mentors ftp and open this RFS.

In latest years I see that memtest86+ 5.01 don't works or don't works correctly on many recent computer/servers so I thinked to do other improvements, fixes and update to 5.31b for an experimental build (and later return having it good in debian/ubuntu install and iso instead use any time another specific memtest updated iso when needed), I started did it here: https://salsa.debian.org/fantu-guest/memtest86plus/-/commits/debian/experimental but I want do more testing before request an upload for this other build for experimental. Any suggestion/help is appreciated. A thing that I think to be useful now if possible is an access to debian repository of memtest86+ for push work done (or if someone want at least push from my fork upstream/latest, upstream/5.31b, debian/master and debian/experimental and switch default branch to debian/master)

It builds those binary packages:

  memtest86+ - thorough real-mode memory tester

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/memtest86+/

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/m/memtest86+/memtest86+_5.01-3.2.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

 memtest86+ (5.01-3.2) unstable; urgency=medium
 .

Thanks for your work on this Fabio, I've uploaded it to Debian.
For future uploads please file an RFS, I'm not sure I will sponsor.
