Setzer is an amazing LaTeX Editor with Gnome looks written in Python. It features a dark mode, many shortcuts for common symbols used in Latex, a document creation wizard and more.
The only real build dependency is Meson, the runtime dependencies are also pretty light: Python GLib bindings and python3-xdg.
I already had some contact with the developer to wire up support for Meson, and he responds very quickly to issues and PRs.

I don't mind maintaining it in a team, if someone is interested in that.
