FWIW I just opened a RFA for vnstat since I don't have time to maintain it and
don't use the package myself (#874387).
If anyone wants to adopt the package, go for it :)

suitable to be included in the package and should be submitted upstream instead.
Generally patches should only be added if there is a good reason to diverge from
upstream or the changes are important/urgent.
