Bug#826030: RFS: ntl/9.9.0-1 -- EXPERIMENTAL!
Hi, I uploaded the package on binnew queue.
https://anonscm.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/libntl.git/commit/?id=abd150f5fd1b277b7f47fb27c9c958f49d06a7ba
I changed unstable to experimental, next time please don't forget that :)
(BTW please check reverse-depends for buildability, open bugs with possible patches, and ask for a transition slot
with a bug against release team)
"reverse-depends -b libntl-dev" might be handy
* eclib
* flint
* libzn-poly
* linbox
* singular
(I think I could have uploaded on experimental even with a changelog targeting unstable, but I prefer to do things clear)
cheers,
and thanks for your contribution to Debian!

Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal
Dear mentors,
I am looking for a sponsor for my package "ntl" :
* Package name : ntl
Version : 9.9.0-1
Upstream Author : Victor Shoup
* URL : http://www.shoup.net/ntl/
* License : GPL-2+
Section : math
It builds those binary packages:
libntl-dev - Number Theory Library, development files
libntl26 - Number Theory Library, shared library
To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:
https://mentors.debian.net/package/ntl
Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:
dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/n/ntl/ntl_9.9.0-1.dsc
It is packaged within the debian-science team:
Vcs-Browser:
https://anonscm.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/libntl.git
Vcs-Git: https://anonscm.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/libntl.git
Changes since the last upload:
* new upstream release
* drop the MD5 patch (obsolete)
* drop the sage callback patch (obsolete)
* push standards-version up
* rewrite Vcs-* fields (use https)
* upstream's soname is now up to libntl26
Notice that I request an upload to experimental because there will be a
transition. I already used my package to build the following source
packages successfully : eclib, flint, linbox and singular. As those are
as far as I know the only reverse-depends, things should go smoothly.
Once this package will have cleared new, I'll need sponsorship to upload
the whole gang to unstable.
Thanks,
Snark on #debian-science
