This is something that I had talked with Antonio Terceiro in private
when we were dealing with another backport. The backport contribution
guidelines states that[1] if you do this, it will be easier to follow
the packages through DDPO.
In the section "Basic rules"[2], there's a mention of no modifications
beside the ones related to the backport itself. Well, adding who did
the backport to the uploaders field is indeed related, right? :-)

I'm trying to help the maintainer with the package in unstable, but is
somewhat hard to reach him. Maybe my e-mails are getting bounced... I
don't know. I'll try to cc him again in this message.
