Hi, you didn't start from the last unstable version, so you need to check something more, and fix the changelog.
I propose the following debian packaging, please fix your VCS.
Note: you can't simplify the watch file and the copyright files-excluded keyword, if upstream still releases the node_modules
directory inside the tarball and you still want to leave it out.
