There's many views on this, mine is, that uploading the snapshot to
experimental can't hurt.

And if the beta/snapshot/whatever is generally suitable for everyday
use, even to unstable. Perhaps file an RC bug on it, so it won't migrate
to testing until the upstream release is made. But if it's so very
close, the even a snapshot is fine in unstable, I believe.
