[FWD: ITA: unifont -- X11 dual-width GNU unicode font * New maintainer (Closes: #356594)]

I sent the email below yesterday.  It looks like I should have emailed this mentors list for someone to help me in adopting and releasing a new version of this package.  Most of the additions I've made for incorporation into the package are at

     http://unifoundry.com/unifont.html
     http://unifoundry.com/unicode-utilities.html

I am about to complete a major upgrade of the font and the utility software.  Roman Czyborra, the original GNU Unifont creator, asked me to get my changes into Debian.  I was waiting for the Unicode 5.1 release since it was just around the corner, and now I'm wrapping up the Unicode 5.1 additions.

Can someone give me information on how to proceed with a release after I've adopted this package?  I'm not a Debian developer now, so I will need someone to sponsor me.

Thanks!

I'd like to adopt this package.   I've added thousands of glyphs to the unifont font downloadable on my website, at http://unifoundry.com/unifont.html.  That website has the latest version of the font, plus GPL software that I wrote.  Roman Czyborra, the original creator of GNU Unifont, asked me to get my changes into Debian.

I am not yet a Debian developer, so I'll need someone to sponsor me.  Anyone who is interested, please email me.  Thanks!
