Hmm, last time I worked on this I was trying to coordinate the future
of the uae-based emulators with Stephan A Suerken. Admittedly I
haven't done much in this regard recently, as other issues kept me
busy ...
Did you contact him (CC to Stephan added)? Do you intent to
(co-)maintain uae?

Methinks you will get different opinions on what you "should" do. :)
I, for one, prefer to copy those file before the "configure" call and
delete them in the "clean" target. This way they won't end up in the
diff.gz, but they will always be up to date.

Agreed. Provided, of course, uae-exotic and uae-suid will really be
dropped. AFAIK Stephan and me didn't decide about this yet.

Well, some more from my side: Apparently you based your packaging on
Stephan's packaging for 0.8.22-1, carrying over some stuff that is not
needed anymore for 0.8.25, especially if uae-exotic and uae-suid will
be dropped. However, Stephan and me agreed it'd be best to base any
new packages on my packaging proposal as put on p.d.o/~florian/uae,
so could you please check which additional changes you have applied in
your packaging, transfer those to my packaging and send me / us a
patch?
And, if you intent to (co-)maintain uae I'll happily act as a sponsor.

Cheers,
Flo
