Dear mentors, i've prepared a package of Album Shaper downloadable from http://neuron.tuke.sk/~kupec/filez/albumshaper/ Album Shaper has been filed as RFP (Bug#277861) for a few months (i've already retitled it as an ITP). DESCRIPTION: Album Shaper is a nice looking, drag and drop photo organizer, with simple GUI, based on Qt3 (KDE is not needed as stated in the wishlist bug report). The main features are: drag&drop organizaton of images into and within collections, photo descriptions, basic image manipulation (rotation, flipping, cropping to predefined and custom sizes, automatic and manual contrast and color balance adjustion, bluring/sharpening, few effects,...), and saves the albums as HTML web galeries with XML desciption file for further updates to saved albums. It supports themes for the generated HTML. I was looking for such an app for quite a long time and this was the best what i found even at the time of version 1.0 (it's 2.0 at the time). AFAIK there is only one similar program in Debian called Lodju, compared to which is Album Shaper a far better piece. Other album makers are either web based or console tools. LICENCE: GNU GPL PACKAGE: It is my first package, so i played a little with it to be linda/lintian clean and to see what's packaging all about, so there are three builds at the above location. I added "Closes: bug#277861" to the changelog of the third build. I intend to maintain this package for a long time.
