I'm not aware of any automagic way to catch source dependencies, although shared libraries dependencies can semi-automatically be found (i.e. with dh_shlibdeps). The best way to be sure all dependencies are met is to build a chrooted basic environment, using debootstrap or friends, with build-essential installed and then to add build-dependencies manually (possibly using "apt-cache search missing-header-or-shared-library"). -- Just remember, kids: There is no 'c' in 'supersede'. -- M-x info gnus
