Re: Preventing disease ebola virus.

Hello!

you could look into GNU Health, it is a really great free Health and Hospital Information System!

http://health.gnu.org/
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GNU_Health

It was packaged for debian med, but I think it has been taken out (because of some release cycle conflicts with tryton, an ERP on which it is based on). Not sure though.

I am not sure about the status of the epidemiology module, but they have a module "specific to MDG6, helping to fight Malaria, HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis" (see http://opensource.com/health/13/3/interview-luis-falcon-gnu-health)

You could download the latest tryton client 3.2.2 and connect yourself to the GNU Health demo database see section "The online demo database"

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GNU_Health/The_Demo_database

or install it yourself

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GNU_Health/Installation

Take a look, maybe they have something you can build your work on and feel free to talk to the GNU Health community about your ideas as well:

Best of luck!

Hello,

The ebola disease virus is rife in West Africa. I want to implement solution (Web and mobile application) that facilitates the detection, prevention and support those in the field to better fight against this epidemic.

are there tools (packages) in the Debian Med project that would help me achieve this goal?

Thank you for any other proposal.

Best regards,
Aboubacar Fode
