Re: "Could not perform immediate configuration" with debian-med



Hi,

at first, i was wrong, gbrowse is not available on Ubuntu. It is in Ubuntu pipe for next version, but not available on current version... Sorry
If needed on ubuntu we may try to add it to our ubuntu launchpad,  work depends on dependencies....

Now, with your present problems, I do not know how update mechanism works vs versions but:
either it points to v6 and you will update with v6 package which may cause some issues
either it points to v5 and gbrowse won't be available.
As issue is with perl dependencies, I cannot say what to do with those....
testing or unstable shouldn't be the issue (my point was to go to testing which is more stable as package is available there).

Maybe someone on the list could help? I should investigate on debian update mechanisms....
