Well, there is always a *chance* - but you might overestimate the man power
we are able to throw on this kind of problems.  The best what I can do for
the moment is just keeping your hint for potential packagers at

   http://debian-med.alioth.debian.org/tasks/data.html

So if you want to give it a try *yourself* just go for it.  Please consider
that this project is officially dead and entered this state in a "Pre-Alpha"
status - so I would not expect to much.  Have you ever really *used* it.
Are you able to take up the work again and revive the project.  If there
is a sign that the project gets new live we might spend some effort into
it and try a Debian package.
