dpkg-shlibdeps: couldn't find library [...]

(CCing Debian-Med)

Hi all,
I'm a member of the Debian-Med team, and am having some problems in the
packaging of a software for the team: BioImageSuite.
You can view the current SVN here:

http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/debian-med/trunk/packages/bioimagesuite/trunk/debian/?rev=0&sc=0

(consider it's a work-in-progress package, don't consider old/ or some other
stuff you might encounter -- also, the lintian overrides are there not to have
my screen full of warnings -- I'll remove them as soon as the package compiles
successfully)

Now, the biggest problem is related to dpkg-shlibdeps. Here's what happens
during the build process:

$ debuild
...
dh_makeshlibs
dh_shlibdeps
dpkg-shlibdeps: failure: couldn't find library libvtkCommonTCL.so (note: only
packages with 'shlibs' files are looked into). dh_shlibdeps: command returned
error code 512 make: *** [binary-common] Error 1
debuild: fatal error at line 1237:
fakeroot debian/rules binary failed
$

libvtkCommonTCL.so is contained into vtk-tcl: I've added it to bioimagesuite
Depends, also to libbioimagesuite2, but nothing changes. Supposing that was a
RPATH-related issue [1], I've "chrpath -d"'ed all *.so files, but this didn't
help either.

I don't have any more clues on what's happening here: any help? It would be
really appreciated by me (I would've learned something new) and by the team
(we would have a new package which might be very useful to our users).

Obviously, everything "works fine", meaning with this that the package builds,
but I haven't tested it yet -- have been concentrating on this problem.

Kind regards,
David
