Bug#1108336: mate-power-manager: After wakeup without power attached, battery level shown is 10 times less than it is
Package: mate-power-manager
Version: 1.26.0-2+deb12u1
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-Cc: ap@ap.kirov.ru
Dear Maintainer,
afetr my laptop wakes up from sleep without power attached to it, the battery indicator turns orange
and shows no more than 10% left. In its deatils' dialog window it show battery's design capacity
approx. 10 times higher than it is by kernel's opinion. In the same time, the output of inxi -Fxxxpmrz
is the following:
ID-1: BAT0 charge: 70.8 Wh (93.0%) condition: 76.1/73.3 Wh (103.9%)
volts: 12.3 min: 11.1 model: SMP bq20z451 type: Li-ion serial: N/A
status: discharging cycles: 142
To achieve this, I make the following steps:
1. Turn on the laptop (battery charged, wall power attached).
2. Log in to MATE session.
3. Close the lid of the laptop, putting it to suspend.
4. Pull the wall power off the laptop.
5. Open the lid.
6. Unlock my session.
7. See the battery indicator at orange level, showing the charge level at about 10%
