Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
I always have the system monitor applet in the top panel and the width i
set is 100, but everytime logging in it defaults back to a width of 40

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)? I change the setting to 100 and log out and back in and it
has no effect.

   * What was the outcome of this action? it reset back to 40
   * What outcome did you expect instead? it to maintain the width i set
