Bug#951436: mate-panel: Clock crashes when adding a location
Package: mate-panel
Version: 1.24.0-1
Severity: normal
The following steps almost always makes clock applet crash:
- Right click on panel's clock
- Preferences -> Locations
- Add a location and click OK
The crash happens as soon I click OK. But the "almost always" in the
first sentence is because sometimes it doesn't crash but it does when I
add a second location. In other words, here is very easy to trigger
this.
It doesn't happen if I delete entries.
The crash manifests itself with the clock that disappear and a windows
that shows up saying:
---------
"Clock" has quit unexpectedly
If you reload a panel object, it will automatically be added back to the
panel.
---------
If I click on "Reload", the clock reappears and the location that caused
the crash is there, saved. In fact sometimes I can see the entry added
on the list, in the instant immediately before the crash.
Cesare.
