(E)LTS report for August 2025

I've worked during August 2025 on the below listed package, for
Freexian LTS/ELTS [1]

nvidia-graphics-drivers
=======================

(Continued from previous work on this package)

I've tested the proposed nvidia-graphics-drivers package for bullseye,
after Andreas Beckmann provided updated packages for this purpose.

The testing was done using a Nvidia GTX 770 GPU and a Nvidia RTX 3060Ti
card, on amd64 and (multiarch) i386 to verify if the cards are working.

The GTX 770 is unfortunatly no longer supported by the 535 drivers
version, (which is in alignment with the information from upstream, so
this was not unexpectdot, but verified anyway due to a request I've
received and my "hardware" LTS testing PC had it installed already.*

I first tried to pop the RTX 3060Ti into this PC, but soon found out that
this PC is way too weak/old to power this card properly, so I moved the
setup to a more recent PC to complete the testing.

The testing on the newer PC went quite smooth, I confimred that the
GPU is is used properly and also to verify if a i386 setup is working
I was enabling i386 multiarch and did some test there too, focusing on
checking if I can spot/produce regressions compared to the previous LTS
version 470.

* For folks requiring the old drivers, there is the package
nvidia-graphics-drivers-tesla-470. However, as Nvidia no longer provide
updates for this version, you should be aware that there are open
vulnerabilities reported (which we obviously cannot fix). It might be
necessary -- depending on your threat model -- to retire your card.
